FAQ's - TaxGPT Cowork

How accurate is Cowork for tax preparation?

Cowork's prep accuracy on simple 1040s is approximately 99%. Our built-in review engine, Agent Andrew, adds another layer of quality control. And every return goes through a human final review before filing. The agent does the heavy lifting. Your team confirms the work.

Will Cowork be able to generate documents like PDFs and Excel files?

Document generation is coming in June alongside our universal file support update. You'll be able to generate PDFs, spreadsheets, and other document types directly from Cowork.

What is the universal document upload project?

A universal document upload model is coming in June. This will be a single, unified upload experience across the entire TaxGPT platform: in the main app, in client intelligence, and in Cowork.

What's changing:

  • Cowork and the full platform will accept all common file types: PDF, JPEG, PNG, Excel, CSV, Word documents, and more

  • We are removing the current 100-page document upload limit. The new model will be based on file type and number of files rather than page count

  • This applies everywhere, not just Cowork. One upload model across the entire platform

What are workflow agents?

Workflow agents are coming soon. They'll let you schedule tasks to run automatically, like preparing returns overnight or generating daily client email briefings at 4 AM. You'll also be able to set conditions, like automatically preparing a return the moment client onboarding is complete. We'll share more details soon.

When will Cowork be able to control desktop software like CCH Axcess or Thomson Reuters UltraTax?

Desktop software support for tools like CCH Axcess and Thomson Reuters is in active development and will be available in late June or early July. In the meantime, Cowork already has [X] workflows across tax prep, bookkeeping, advisory, client engagement, and more that you can start using today. Let me show you what's available right now.

Why can’t documents be directly added to CoWork on Windows?

Currently, the ability to directly upload documents or use drag-and-drop functionality in CoWork is only available for macOS users.

For Windows users, documents need to be accessed through a Folder Path. Simply create a separate folder on your computer, add the relevant files to that folder, and provide the folder path to CoWork. CoWork will then automatically retrieve the documents from that location.

Which browsers are currently supported with TaxGPT CoWork?

At the moment, TaxGPT CoWork officially supports Google Chrome only.

Is TaxGPT CoWork installation supported on all MacBooks?

No, TaxGPT CoWork is currently supported only on MacBooks with Apple Silicon M-series chipsets (such as M1, M2, M3, and newer).

Intel-based MacBooks are not supported.
